Acceptable Use Policy

1. Content you upload

You may not upload, process, or generate Outputs from content that:

• 1.1You do not have the legal right, permission, license, or authorization to upload, process, summarize, or distribute — including content owned by a third party where you lack their consent.

• 1.2Infringes any copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, or other intellectual property right, or moral right, of any person or entity, unless you hold the necessary rights or a valid exception (such as fair use/fair dealing) applies.

• 1.3Contains personal data of an identifiable individual that you have not obtained appropriate consent or other legal basis to process — for example, recordings of patients, students, or meeting participants uploaded without their knowledge or agreement, where such consent or basis is legally required.

• 1.4Is illegal under applicable law, including content that constitutes child sexual abuse material (CSAM), promotes or facilitates terrorism or violent extremism, or violates export control or sanctions law.

• 1.5Is defamatory, harassing, threatening, or intended to incite violence or hatred against individuals or groups based on race, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or other protected characteristic.

• 1.6Violates the privacy of any individual, including content obtained through unlawful surveillance, interception, or recording without required consent under applicable wiretapping or recording-consent laws.

2. Use of the Service

You may not:

• 2.1Use the Service to generate outputs for an unlawful purpose, including generating deceptive, defamatory, or infringing content, or content intended to impersonate a real person without disclosure.

• 2.2Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service, other users’ accounts or content, or Critso’s underlying systems, including by circumventing authentication, exploiting vulnerabilities, or probing, scanning, or testing the security of the Service without our prior written authorization.

• 2.3Upload, transmit, or attempt to introduce malware, viruses, worms, or other malicious code into the Service.

• 2.4Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service, including through denial-of-service attacks, excessive automated requests outside documented API rate limits, or attempts to reverse-engineer the Service.

• 2.5Use automated means (bots, scrapers) to access the Service except through our published API and in accordance with its documented terms.

• 2.6Resell, sublicense, or provide access to the Service to third parties outside your organization, except as expressly permitted under your plan or a signed enterprise agreement.

• 2.7Use the Service to build a competing product, or to benchmark the Service for the primary purpose of building a competing product.

• 2.8Misrepresent your identity or affiliation, or falsify information provided to Critso during account registration or verification.

• 2.9Use the Service in a way that could damage, disable, overburden, or impair Critso's infrastructure or negatively affect other customers' ability to use the Service.

3. Enforcement

• 3.1We may investigate suspected violations of this AUP, and may remove or disable access to content, suspend or terminate accounts, or take other action we consider appropriate, in accordance with Section 9 of the Terms of Service.

• 3.2Where feasible and not contrary to a legal or security requirement, we will provide notice of enforcement action and, for less severe violations, an opportunity to cure before suspension or termination.

• 3.3Suspected illegal content, including CSAM, will be reported to the appropriate authorities as required by applicable law, in addition to being removed from the Service.

4. Reporting a violation

5. Changes to this Policy

We may update this AUP from time to time, consistent with Section 15 of the Terms of Service.
